During fiscal year 2011, the Community Foundation of Northwest Florida (CFNWF) received a large grant from the Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors (RPA). The grant was designated to assist individuals and families who were impacted by the BP Oil Spill and to provide resources for the CFNWF to expand. Although the grant was recognized as income during fiscal year 2011, the grant is being expended during fiscal years 2011-2014. In some cases, the timing of these previously funded RPA expenditures has resulted in expenses exceeding income for a given fiscal year.
